During the Mass of Ordination to the Priesthood the candidates lie in the well of the Cathedral’s altar during the Litany of Supplication. As the candidates prostrate themselves, all present in the Cathedral Basilica kneel and unite their voices with the Church universal in prayer for God’s grace and mercy for those to be ordained.
